Salem Pops Orchestra
The music you want to hear
Led by Dr. Ike Nail, the Salem Pops Orchestra is an all-volunteer orchestra dedicated to bringing a variety of popular and light classical music to the Salem, Oregon community.
Get to Know Us
At Salem Pops Orchestra, we believe in giving the community a variety of musical experiences while providing a place for musicians of all ages and backgrounds performance opportunities. All of our volunteer musicians come from Salem, Oregon, and its surrounding communities. Concerts are held Sunday afternoons in the Chemeketa Community College Auditorium from October to May. Participation is open to all who are able to play in an orchestral setting with an appropriate level of confidence.
In addition, the POPS sponsors a Young Artists Program for music students who compete for the opportunity to rehearse and perform with the orchestra.

Become a Benefactor
The Salem Pops Orchestra, 501(c)3 is proud to showcase the talent and discipline of its local musician members who generously serve as living cultural assets to the Mid-Willamette Valley. While orchestra members started their musical journey in high school or college they continue to engage in lifelong musical experiences. Thanks to our generous donors, we are able to pass that opportunity on to both young children and high school students.
