Around the World in 80 Minutes

The Salem Pops Orchestra is excited to explore the world with you in concert on March 8, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. at the East Salem Community Center in “Around the World in 80 Minutes”. 

Joining the orchestra on stage as our featured soloist is violinist Yvonne Hsueh. Yvonne Hsueh, a native of Los Angeles, resides in Eugene, Oregon. She received her B.M. and M.M. degrees in Violin Performance and Pedagogy from the University of Oregon and has extensive experience as a performer throughout the Pacific Northwest and beyond. Yvonne has appeared as soloist with orchestras around the United States and abroad and is an active symphonic violinist, recitalist, chamber musician.

 With Yvonne the Orchestra will be performing Czardas, Gipsy Legend, and Zieguenerweisen, music that was heavily inspired by Hungarian folk music and the Romani people. The Orchestra will continue the journey with:
