Leading Ladies and True North Duo

The Salem Pops Orchestra is excited to celebrate “Leading Ladies” with you through music on Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 10 at 3:00 pm. Joining the orchestra on stage is the True North Duo.

Singer-songwriter acoustic duo Kristen Grainger and Dan Wetzel’s performances resonate deeply with audiences listening for well-crafted songs, skillful instrumentation, and gorgeous vocals.

The alchemy of their interlocked voices with the warm, spare loveliness of Dan’s handmade guitar delivers the goods — that indescribable feeling that is part joy, part longing; a deliciously sweet ache haunting the darkest corridors of the heart. 

The orchestra will be performing alongside True North Duo with special orchestrations of their original songs. 

In addition, the Pops will celebrate Leading Ladies by performing music from: The Little Mermaid, Evita, The King and I, Tara’s Song from Gone with the Wind, and more.
